DBR is a trauma processing psychotherapy that tracks the original physiological sequence that occurs when the brain is first alerted to threat or attachment wound. It is used to process the shock thus avoiding overwhelm during processing. DBR is showing statiscal improvement in symtptoms of PTSD.
EMDR is a mode of treatment that is evidenced based and highly reasearched for effectiveness in the treatment of trauma and many other life difficulties. It allows difficult and troubling memories from that past to be reprocessed in order to take the power of the past away from the present.
Psychotherapy has been suggested as a treatment for people who suffer from chronic pain. Working together we will develop skills in mindfulness, pacing, relaxation, and management of symptoms to manage your pain. Positive psychotherapy results can reduce the need for medications.
